Freshman Survival Guide

  1. Students need to learn that people will love you for who you are, don’t change yourself to fit in. You’ll regret it in the end.
  2. Walk on the right side of the hallway!
  3. Join a group or a club, it’s the best way to meet new people.
  4. Just because you meet new people doesn’t mean you should drop your old ones.
  5. Create good relationships with your teachers.
  6. Take opportunities for tutoring before or after school with teachers.
  7. The week before school starts go take a tour of Lindbergh to familiarize with your classrooms.
  8. Take your freshman year seriously because it does count.
  9. Save important tests, quizzes, or packets from every class to help study for finals.
  10. Semester finals are not the end of the world,  there is the freshman finals cram for extra help.
  11. Your parents are there for support, so don’t make them your enemies
  12. It’s always great to get a head start on school supplies. although teachers will tell you exactly what you need the first day.
  13. Take your required electives freshman and sophomore year, so senior year can be more fun.
  14. When you find yourself in a relationship, don’t ditch your friends because they are the people you will count on in the end. A lot of people find this out the hard way.
  15. Don’t make out in the hallways! No one wants to see you stick your tongue down someone else’s throat.
  16. Take time to enjoy high school, before you know it, it’s graduation day.
