Most students at Lindbergh High School have lived here all of their lives. If they were ever to go as far as outside the country, it would be on vacation or perhaps on a extravagant school field trip. And for the rest, the are still all to the imagination as we wonder what it’s like to consider where we live to be abnormal or maybe even more interesting to someone else.

For LHS junior Brooks Hall (11), eyes wide as he can not say the same. Hall has been all over the world, and not just talking about travel. Back and forth from the U.S., Hall has been all over the globe, witnessing not just the bordered state where LHS sits.

Born in the sunshine of Sydney, Australia, after three years Brooks came back to Missouri where his mom grew up, but he would not stay long. Because of his dad working for a cinema company who traveled, Hall went alongside him for his middle school years, set in Vietnam. The company eventually settled down in Asia, where Hall lived for three years before finally settling at LHS.

As lots could probably figure, there is so much difference, especially living such a great distance away. We sometimes forget that although we wish to live in different cities and places of the world that look more appealing, theres still the place where we feel most comfortable.

“Living in America, I can feel like I’m home, but living overseas you become culturally enriched and become aware about what goes on on the outside,” Hall said.

When asked how long he would stay, Hall said he would most likely be here the rest of high school and be in one place. For as the rest of his journey, already so vast at so young, he would definately still travel on vacations as he grows older.
