Grab your ugliest sweater and head to Ballpark Village as they try to break the current world record for the largest Ugly Christmas Sweater Party; currently 3,400 people. While attempting to break the record, BPV wants to see how many canned food goods they can donate to Operation Food Search. OFS is the largest distributor of free food in the St. Louis region that helps to feed the less fortunate. The event takes place upon December 10.

A Christmas Story: Movie Night

As well at Ballpark Village this holiday season are family flicks on the big screen. Catch a free indoor showing of A Christmas Story, December 14th, on the 40 foot screen inside Fox Sports Midwest Live. The fun starts at 5PM with movie related activities leading up to the movie in which starts at 6PM.

Kwanzaa Celebration at The Loop

Kwanzaa is a week-long holiday falling between December 26 and January 1 yearly, culminating in a feast and gift-giving. Join the celebration on Wednesday, December 28 at 4 pm in the Market Plaza for a Kinara Lighting Ceremony and a performance by students from Bertha Knox Gilkey Pamoja Prep. Academy at Cole.

The Hip Hop Nutcracker

The Hip-Hop Nutcracker captures a picturesque reimagination of Tchaikovsky’s timeless music as the production offers a new kind of holiday tradition. The performance set out on its second national tour having previously sold out across the United States and Russia. The show takes place on December 21 at 7:30 p.m. and can been seen at the Fox Theatre downtown. Tickets range from $25 to $65 based upon the exact seating location.

Polar Express

November 18 until December 30, take part in the magical experience that is the Polar Express anytime Wednesday through Sunday. Located at Union Station downtown, the trade ride is center to the holiday celebration; other activities include spectacular decor, ice skating, North Pole Village entertainment and a Fire & Light show. Ticket prices vary depending on the preferred package as the trains leave the station at 4:45, 6:15, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.
