With summer fast approaching, and only a few weeks left of school, it’s time to start gearing up and getting ready for a fun summer! Whether one likes to go out and explore the surroundings, listen to their favorite artist at a concert, look at amazing artistic pieces, or become enraptured in a play, there’s something for everyone to do.

For music, the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre, an outdoor concert venue in Maryland Heights, one can find a diverse range of artists that are set to perform this summer. Going from classics such as Steely Dan, to modern artists such as Imagine Dragons, Kesha, Post Malone (and 21

Savage!), Seats vary from being on a vast lawn, to up close and personal, so one can choose how they wish to experience the show.

For more of a classical, relaxed vibe, the Marquise Knox Blues Band performs at the BB’s Jazz, `Blues and Soup while dining! An open year-round, admission free oasis awaits at the City Gardens downtown, where one can find a blend of painting and sculptures to look at. The Saint Louis Art Museum, located at Forest Park, is also free, and is an interesting building to explore at one’s leisure.

Make sure to spend time with friends as well! With nice weather on the brink, exploring parks and driving around is a sure way to make good memories. When asked what his favorite staple event of the summer is to do with friends, Alex Lindner, 12th, said “During the summer on nice days, I love to go to the court and play basketball with friends! Wonderful weather and friends are one of the best ways to relax and enjoy summer”.
