As most high schools, Lindbergh is filled with teenage job holders. Most people think of fast food, lifeguarding, or even just babysitting when asked to think about normal high school jobs. Although those are great jobs to have, there are a few students that have unique jobs of their own. Madison Sanfilippo for example, works at the place she spent her childhood fridays at, the Rollercade on Tesson Ferry.

“ I work at the snack bar at Rollercade, hand out skates to skaters, and make sure kids aren’t doing anything they aren’t supposed to do.” Madison Sanfilippo (10) said.

Just across the Meramec river deep in the heart of Fenton, a shining student known as Wil Theodore (12), works at a chicken feed mill. Theodore chose to work there because no one else has a job like that.

“ At the Fenton feed mill I get to do a lot of hands on activity that allows me to get strong, and learn new things. There I clean chicken pans that contain chicken feces, stack hundreds of gallons of hay no matter the heat. It isn’t the easiest thing in the world. It’s fun sometimes because I get to drive tractors and often get to do what I want when I get my work done. As this is a fun job, I don’t really recommend this for people who aren’t used to these circumstances.” Theodore said.

Another LHS student, Rebecca Hertel (11), works at the prestigious senior living facility in sunset hills known as Friendship Village. The young teen loves to work there because she loves to be close to her grandmother.

“ I love working there because my grandmother lives there and being close to her means a lot to me. Also the hours are great for teenagers and the pay is decent. Although the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me there was an senior lady asked me to hold her dentures ” Hertel said.
