The Classic

As fall is in full effect right now, so are the seasonal items that come with it. What do you associate fall with?

“S p o o k y season and pumpkin spice”, John Thompson (12) said.

When one thinks the month of October, many will usually say pumpkin or pumpkin spice. It is very popular during this time of year to run to Starbucks, and get a pumpkin spice beverage on the way to whatever the day has planned. However the same thing can get boring so why not switch it up? Besides the regular pumpkin spice latte and frappuccino, Starbucks actually has many different seasonal drink options.

Every season comes a new limited time drink at Starbucks. This autumn they released three beverages alongside the pumpkin spice with the simple phrase “Fall Again.” The most popular fall drink besides the pumpkin spice has to be the Salted Caramel Mocha. It is a twist on the beloved mocha drinks with whip cream, caramel drizzle, and a salt rock topping. These handcrafted beverages are made in the form of a Hot latte, as well as iced. Then for its third option it is also available as a frappuccino.

Maple Pecan is the newest of the fall collection and is available in all the above options as the salted caramel mocha. It seems to be though that the most favorited version is the cappuccino. The drink is more than just the regular espresso and milk it contains many flavors that send memories of fall to the mind. There is maple syrup, pecan, brown butter, and finished with a delicious sugar topping.

Next if you didn’t want to stray too far from what you know if your are very particular then the next drink is the Pumpkin Chi latte. In iced and hot latte, this is the only seasonal beverage however that is not in a cappuccino form.

“I actually don’t like Pumpkin Spice, and Salted Caramel Mocha sounds the best because I love caramel a lot and it sounds good”, Alyssa West (11) said.
