Lindbergh’s Tennis season has been nothing but a memorable one. The team’s success really showed as they achieved a third place finish in team districts and first and third place in individual districts. Laura Conti (Girls Varsity Tennis Coach) explained what made this season so successful.

“Their aggressive plays really stood out this year, our players are really talented especially because they have are really athletic and have been participating in sports their whole lives,” Conti said.

The team did impressively well this season, especially with some of their initial hardships they overcame.

Coming off a doubles stats championship last season, Alex (11) and Kat Rosenberger (12) faced unforeseen challenges in their senior year

“We didn’t have Alex for most of the season, so that was a huge setback, but we were glad she came back for the last few matches,” Conti said.

A player who really stood out this year, according to Conti was Kat, who finished the season off with one loss.

“Kat’s one defeat was against a girl from Lafayette who won state every year, and also never lost a set since her freshman year. Kat had three set points against her, so she played incredibly strong,” Conti said.

A couple more players that triumphed this year were Hannah Clausner (10) and Rachel Seaton (12), who won third place in district doubles.

The entire team played extraordinarily this fall, and there is only room for improvement for the future. Go Flyers!
